strange kds monitor issue

I can play almost any game I want except vampire blood lines. Every time I launch the game I get a error report saying my monitor is out of range. It says the Hf is 165.2 and the Vf is 240. The range for the game is Hf 30-70 and Vf 50-150. I have uninstalled and reinstalled+updated the video drivers and that did not help. I have lowered resolutions and refresh rates. I really do not understand the Hf/Vf thing at all. I can play halo with no sweat. Please help.

 

This is a very common problem with vampire. Although it's common with pirates. As that is a copy protection feature they installed in the game. If it detects it's an illegal copy or you tried to crack it, it will do that to prevent you from being able to see anything.

If you bought the game legally you can contact the company and they'll help you out. If not, then i think you're asking for help in the wrong type of forums.

it is a legal copy, I did however install a no cd patch. Sounds like that may be what I done wrong. I really did not think I was doing anything wrong. Live and Learn. Learn and live. Thanks for the input, I will insure to stay away from patches unless they are from the game update site from this point forward.
