Good day to one and all. I have a question and not sure what part of the forum I should put it in, this one seems like the right place. I have been working on a computer problem going on 2 weeks now. Some how something slipped thru and gave me major problems with malware, or something. A friend pointed me here to this forum. Using the Malware remove guide, I got my machine to boot proper again, but now I have some errors showing up at boot time. It tells me it cannot find files as specified in the registry. Please see the attachments to this thread. The file names are made up of little squares and y's with two dots over them. I cannot figure out how to search for the items let alone remove them. I have used several registry cleaning programs, like retools, Regcure, Regclean as well as other tune up type programs. I am clear of spyware and malware as well as viruses.

What do I have to do to find these errors.

    Many thanks for any help.

    Steve

Did you complete the malware process and did a malware fighter declare you clean and send you to this forum?

studiot: Malware bytes anti malware program declared me malware free. A friend pointed me to the malware topic on the forum, which I followed line by line. Everything I ran as suggested by the forum members, was clean after I was done doing the hours of scans. I never had these errors before I had this malware problem. It just does not make sense to me. If the filenames were normal letters and numbers, I could find the registry keys, but how would I search on small squares?

    Thanks

    Steve

DomLuc: THanks for pointing out my mistake. I will re read the info and make a new thread with the results. I have been battling this for 2 weeks now and have myself so confused I don't know what I am doing.

    Thanks for the advise.

OK mate, I think you still have malware (MB is not infallible). As Dom says good luck.

Just remember that they have to be much more strict about their rules in the Malware forum as they are so pressed.
