Strange q... but difficult to find answer

Hi all and Happy New Year!

Quick question, if anyone knows.. I'm lousy with electrical details.. Anyway, I just bought a Belkin KVM (used) on ebay to replace my deceased one. The guy sent it w/o a power adaptor, so I'm tossing drawers trying to find one around here that will work.

I don't know if the numbers all have to be exact, so if anyone knows.. are these two SAFELY compatible? T.

9VDC, 600mA power supply and 9VDC, 1000mA

Belkin has a lifetime warranty - use a car battery if you'd like =P

Seriously though.. I wouldn't use anything other than exactley what it say.. You can usually go to radio shack and find something for 6-20 bucks, and if they don't have it in store, maybe than can order it?

Check ebay as well, I think if you typed in your model number you'll find people just selling the adapter - or one that'll work the same.

just wanted to add a note. I had a problem with my KVM (cant recall if it was Belkin or Linksys), called support & they said it was out of warranty.. the paperwork claimed it had a 'lifetime' warranty also.. after a bit of a go around they did repalce it and sent a note back that these items have reached their 'lifetime' and would no longer be warrantied.

 

yeah no one ever said it was your lifetime they meant lol

 

Hehe.. ok, thanks guys.. I'll have to get out a disguise and go into Radio Shack, then.. wouldn't want anyone I know to see me in there.
