Strange Shapes and Colours

Hey, i have had my graphics card scince Christmas and no problems with anything, the other day i came to play 2 games, which previously i had no problems with to find a load of strange colours and shapes, like pruple and green, and all sorts. I have Nvidia Ge-Force FX 5700 and have had no previous problems, i have reinstalled drivers, direct X, iv cleaned out my PC, but nothing.

Sounds like your vid card took a nose dive? Might be ram gone bad. Or really bad Overheating.

 

Well, i have recently brought new RAM, but everything was working fine, even with the RAM for a while. And as for overheating, i have a big fan and a lil one on my Graphics card, anything else, and how could i stop it overheating ... Tnx

 

Im talking bout the RAM on your video card, you can stop overheating by properly installing a new heatsink/fan on it. For example http://www.frozencpu.com/vid-48.html?id=eJnV4uxy If you havea 5700 and NOT a 5700Ultra.

i'v seen that green stuff before,never got to the bottom of it,but switching the game from 16 to 32 bit got rid of it,so try that,is the green stuff in the smoke of your gun?Not a clue about the other one.I think thats what happens when you flash a fx5700 to an 850xt.lol.
