Strange!

Running XP on a P4 box.

VERY SLOW booting up, some 5 minutes. Although I have "NUM LOCK" selected in bios, when XP finally boots up, the NUM LOCK light goes out and I have to manually press the key to activate.

Can anyone help with insight as to why this is happening? The slowness also?

Regarding the slow booting:
1.What are your startup programs.
2.What is the size and location of the page file.
3.Where at bootup does it hang?
4.Your hardisk free spaces?
5.Are all your devices being detected properly?

Rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks
