This may be the wrong forum but I am not well versed in solving this kind of problem. I have a Windows 7 64 Bit desktop with updated drivers and a 16+ Mbps internet connection. Plenty of memory and a video card. Having problem with choppy video. Have run all HP diagnostics and talked to Cisco about E4200 router (hard wired thouout house with ethernet) and Netflix. Finally called Charter and they said my Motorola modem is a Docsis 1 that can only pass though 12 Mbps without "messing up." When I go to Speedtest.net, my rates are 26+ and going to Pingtest.net, I come up with an A.

Bottom line - can a Docsis 1 modem cause this problem? By the way, we have three computers one Vista and one XP and they all exhibit the choppy video whether direct wired or wireless.

Thanks in advance for the help. I did search the forums but did not find an answer.

Its unlikely as even 12 meg is a acceptable connection for streaming video, chances are its the source site, like youtube or what not that has issues.
