streaming music from pc to stereo

Anyone here stream music from their pc to their stereo system? Can it be done cheaply and easily? Can you describe the process and what is needed (preferably the cheapest method available)? I have a couple of spare pcs lying around and wish to turn one into a music server in order to serve my large mp3 collection to my stereo on the back porch this year. Love to listen to my music but hate to burn and stuff cd's all the time. Am preferring it to be wireless as well. Thanks in advance.....

Hi mate there are a number of ways to do this i did in my house with a wireless entertainment streamer with built in hard drive you can pick them up for around £100 upwards but this is a cheap and VERY simple verson that is universal with WMP and such try the link and have a read ! hope it helps i have heard they are pretty good!

i use a linksys wireless g music bridge. basically, i stream to it, it is connected to my home stereo via rca cables. i've had it for a while, i haven't used it much lately, however it's better than running a cable on the ground. just a few links below. g/l - sos
