Is there a free download (that actually works) available to eliminate the buffering/pausing when I am trying to watch an online show that is streaming? I have windows XP so does that mean I cannot watch streaming videos?:cry

Yup. Note it says your speeds are slower than 81% of the US.
If you want to watch something and you are on your slow connection, click the pause button. This allows more to download and cache on your computer. You should see the line moving to the right. When you have 1/2 or more cached, then hit play again and it should be less jerky watching.

What are you trying to stream? Live video? Netflix? Hulu? Youtube? I've got roughly the same internet speed as you and while I get the occasional buffering it's completely manageable. I don't however stream HD content.
