Stress Prime

Having a problem with computer due to power failure(haven't got back up power supply yet). Windows isn't starting up(windows xp pro). When computer starts up comes to a screen where i can select safe mode, last known good configuration, or start windows normally. Tried them all but keeps coming back to same screen saying windows did not start successfully. Computer is under warranty and I've been talking to alienware tech support. Ram and harddrive is fine. Created a boot disc to test ram and harddrive and it passed all tests. Can't re-install windows because an error comes up. They told me to download stress prime95, and thats what brings me here. I need to download the .iso version of the stress test so I can create a boot-able cd-rom, but I can't seem to find it. If anyone knows a link I would greatly appreciate the help. Figured this is the best thread to ask in because I saw talk of the stress prime test.

 

Prime95 and memtest ...you should be able to make a boot floppy with memtest...i donno about booting with prime95....both should work just as well in detecting instability...

 

If you have your win cd and cdkey handy you can perform a repair install,select boot form cdrom in bios,insert the xp disk,let it load the drivers,when prompted to select repair install,you will lose all your service packs and hotfixes but HOPEFULLY your files will still be there depending how corrupt your harddrive has become

Whats the error and where does it occur?
