I'd heard you talk about them before MA, and had not appreciated they were a christian band. Seems like the album is doing great.

http://www.musichristian.com/sys/product.php?PRODUCT=167777 (You can actually link here to sell it on your own website, if you wanted to help promote the album)

Trying to find some (legal) links so I can hear a bit online...they never made it to England AFAIK and would like to preview before I consider buying. So if you happen to have a link, I would really appreciate it. Thanks :)

    Sounds pretty cool...Thanks Adryn.

I found a couple of other sites and they were selling the whole album mp3 for 99c? That doesn't sound right....

    My thoughts on listening:
Open Your Eyes, wow, its awesome.
Reborn has an interesting, melodic beat.
When Did I see you cry, slower but highlights their harmonies, not on the sample.
Make you mine, not my favorite track, but its ok.
Passion, love the vocals and the message
Live again: Another not my favorite, but good different sound from them some might like.
If I die, again, not my favorite, the beat is a bit bee boppy for me.
Wait for you: Ballad, but I love the band, there are some great vocals in it
Rain: Another really good song, good message
10,000 years, neat beat to it.
In God We Trust: A remake of the classic Stryper song with the new sound. Cant get into it.

    Left out:
Amazing grace: Its a remake of the prayer and it rocks, but its weird.

I don't know if I should be embarrassed or not, but I've never heard of Stryper.

All we get down here is The Wiggles. :)

Stryper was HUGE for about 1 or 2 albums in the 80's. They were Christian rock and dressed in yellow and black. It worked in the 80', looking back now, its silly to see like most things.

Their most known hit\album would be To Hell With The Devil. There were a few albums before that, I was always a huge fan and even had a Stryper song as my wedding song. After that album, they went to more of a jeans look with no makeup and poofy hair, like most bands and a harder sound. The album was called Against the Law and people (who tend to be stupid in droves) thought they sold out and were no longer, or ever a Christian band. Sadly, that album was their best, and most requested on this tour, and had the same message, just not as bold as previous messages. There was a remake on there of Shining Star that was phenomanal. The confusion probably came from the bass player, who apparently had a drug problem and was in and out of the band repeatedly. Most assumed he was not into the Christian theme, but I think to this day, people lumped the band with him. I heard he was on again, off again, for this tour, but he definetly did not play with them for this.

Listening to the samples, you wouldn't pick them for a Christian band.

A 70's or 80's metal band, yeah, but certainly not Christian.
