Stuck e-mail

Help! I use Outlook (not Express) from Office 2003. I sent an email with an attachment but it never left - it is stuck! Because of this, sending email is possible but very delayed/random and everything seems slower. I have run Norton anti-virus, Ad-Aware, Spyware Blaster and Spyhunter and none helped. I tried to delete it - will not do it, tried to open (error message it has started to be sent) and finally uninstalled Outlook and then re-installed but although all e-mails are there, so is obstruction.

PLEASE HELP!!

 

perhaps temporarily disable norton, it could have detected a virus or just thinks that e-mail is suspicious. It's something to try, it may or may not be the problem. If you want to get rid of the e-mails that are stored in Outlook(after uninstall), you'll have to find the directory it stores them in... I can't remember how right now. If I remember or find it I'll post back.

 

Thanks for this. I was about to try it but then I found that if you stop Outlook from trying to send it then you can delete it - problem solve (hopefully!). Thank you VERY much though.... By the way, Outlook stores the email in a big file called Outlook PST. I thought that I was being clever by backing this up weekly but then I found that even if I have the file I can't open it! Eeeek!!!
