Stuck in Hibernation mode

Came home the other day and turned my laptop off. (It was running a map program in the truck, hooked to a GPS)
Brought computer into the house and stacked it with rest of bags.
Next morning I tried to turn it on & found it was in Hibernate mode.
I have tried removing the battery, holding the power button for a full min., I even took the HHD out .
Nothing works...... Little orange light just keeps on blinking.Can't turn it on.
It's an older Toshiba Satellite 1415-S173
Anybody got an idea how I could get this back on? I need the info from it.

looks as if the flashing may be a bios code... check the companies website.

You can take the drive out and put it into another PC to read data off - DO NOT boot from it... make it a slave in some other PC. You'll need to invest in a laptop IDE adapter and maybe a USB to IDE to make it easy to get the data off.
