Hello. I have a 19" KDS Avitron flatscreen monitor that I recently picked up (for free) from a friend. However, there appears to be at least one problem. When I first tried to turn it on, the screen flashed then cut out after 10 seconds or so. When I tried it again, the power button would not pop back out, and is now stuck. The monitor stays on when it is plugged in, and does not shut off (however the colour is off on the screen). Furthermore, I can't adjust any of the settings now that the button is stuck. How do I go about getting the button unstuck, and does this sound like it may fix my problems? Thanks!

I should add that it is a CRT monitor, not an LCD flatscreen. Thanks again.

I had this problem with a TV once. Open the case and spray the switch with electronic parts cleaner (available at Radio Shack) and if that doesn't work, solder in a new switch, also available form Radio Shack. If none of that works, what have you lost?
