Stuffed up VGA?

Okay, I am going to leave the network world forever, soon.
So I decided to download EVERYSINGLE THING I WANT, about 400 gb... but after leaving computer on for... approx 24 hours.

VGA shutdown, the computer stayed put and on. I shut it down by holding the power on button for 4 seconds.

took everything out and cleaned it well, and after 2 hours it's working. Not sure if VGA will work like it used to though, or if there are other faulty parts as a result of over clocking?

Is there some software that will check all hardware health?

The 1024x768 resolution was active when it shutdown, now that specific resolution is stuffed, cut off screen?

Should I buy a new VGA, which do you recommend? possible budget $100-150 aussie dollars.

 

If you OC then you can expect some trouble.
Did you OC it or did you receive it that way?

 

Na, I OC, But I would like to replace what I destroyed/Damaged.

Need some app, perhaps, that could report damage?

 

Did the monitor turn off after you decided to OC?

Unless you increased viltages when you overclocked it is doubtful that you actually hurt anything.
It sounds like you just pushed it too hard & it became unstable ,or overheated a bit, & shut off.

How are you overclocking & what are you overclocking ?
