After using "StumbleUpon", I'm finding that I have to login to my usual websites again, eventhough I had visited them shortly before using StumbleUpon. Is it possible that StumbleUpon is logging me out of the websites? This isn't the first time, that it's happened, and I haven't done anything else on the computer except surf and e-mail.

try cleaning out your internet temp/history and cookies because the site maybe don't like/clashing with somthing in your temp folders also u could try resetting your web settings

    Thanks!
    1. If I clean out my internet temp/history and cookies, would I just end up having to login again, just as I'm doing now?
    2. How would I go about resetting my web settings?
    :confused

So, I used the FireFox Extension "StumbleUpon" last night, then this morning when I turned the computer on, I had to log on to all my usual websites again. I didn't do anything different with the computer except use that extension. Is there a setting I can change and exactly how do I go about doing it?
    Thanks!

Install the extension Cookie Culler https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/82
and place the cookie icon aside of your home page icon so you can find it.
Before you close FF, click on the cookie. It will list cookies from every site you went to, including cookies from ads on those sites.
Pick a site you don't want to log into every time, like MajorGeek.
Scroll through the list until you find all the MG cookies. Highlight one at a time and select "protect cookie". Do that with every MG cookie. Now when you close FF, if all cookies are wiped, the ones you protected will not be wiped. You should be able to go to MG and be logged in.

    Just to update;

Unfortunatly, with several trials, I'm still having the same problem.
(When using FireFox "StumbleUpon" for a period of time, when I go to click on my usual forums, I'm logged out of all of them.)

Then I guess you have two choices: live with the fact that stumbleupon has a glitch or remove this addon. :confused

I'm addicted to the program, so I'll just deal with it, lol. Thanks for your previous suggestions, much appreciated!

    Eureka!

Ok, so far, I think I may have found the trick. (Using FireFox browser). I open one window with several tabs with my favourite forums logged on.

I open a second window and use the "StumbleUpon" program within that.

After Stumbling for a while, I'll go back to the first window, hit refresh in each tab to update posts within the logged on websites, and so far so good I'm still logged into my favourite sites.

    Conclusion
Have your favourite logged on websites open in one window with tabs, and use StumbleUpon within another window.
