I have an mp3 that is over 4 hours long and plays fine on my Mac with Quicktime. I imported it into Mac Music so I can add it to my devices. When imported, it reads the total time as just over an hour long. One can right click on it and edit the end time, but it doesn't take. It makes a sound like you did an error when you adjust the end time to the over 4 hour mark. The attributes do not indicate the file would be read only to me. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

when you say mac music, i am taking that to mean the new apple music app, that replaced itunes. if not, please correct me. my understanding is that the apple music app is apple's new streaming music service. i have only read about it, and have not used it, but if it is a streaming service, then i am not sure how one could import songs into it. if you just want to share it between your devices, i would think that syncing with icloud would do the trick. but then, though i am a mac person, i don't use icloud for anything and have it turned off on all of my devices. i'll go hide under my rock now.
in any event, good luck with it.

Did you try re-encoding it? Sounds like a slight glitch in the mp3 header data.
