Stupid Golf.

We played golf before chess tonight. Man I can't believe how bad I can SUCK at golf. Just a little par three course, but I bet my score was 80! A nice, relaxing round. Anyone else play the stupid game? And are you any good?

 

I don't play golf. everyone else in this house does though.....
i don't know, maybe it's too slow of a game for me.
I have played miniature golf (I know, not the same) And the strange thing for me with that is, although I'm right handed, I have to putt lefthanded, it's just not comfortable to putt as a righty!

 

I've tried the game 3 times, I'm pretty well developed upper body wise, even at my age , so I can hit the ball a h*ll of a long way.


Slight problem though, I can never get the ball more than 3 feet off the ground, so; if there's anything in the way larger than a leprechaun it turns into the shortest drive on record.

Oh, and another slight problem, reading the green? B*llocks, I have enough trouble potting on a FLAT green surface, if it's a struggle on a Pool/Snooker table, well you can guess the rest.

I know I could probably get better with tuition and practice, but unless I win the Lottery and can afford a Money Pit, I think I'll leave it.

Haven't played in a few months, so will take me a while to get back into it!
It's fun when you're playing with people who are the same skill level as you.

I agree. Having people who are as "skilled" as you are makes the game more fun.

Also, beer helps.

Anyway, I haven't played any this year yet. Last year I played about 2 times a month.

I'm just happy with my new set of clubs, had to get them extended due to how tall I am. Only thing I need to purchase now is some golf sandals.

 

I do like Golf too, but from ........
