StyleXP or something like it...

    Using the trial of StyleXP.... finally I can change things around...

    is there free software that can do this??

    I am NOT looking for a crack or anything like that.
    If StyleXP is the best (Is there a better one?) I am willing to pay for it...

    Just curious if there is something out there that is free??

    The only other good one I know of is WindowBlinds but that also is not free

    I would say either of these are to best 2 out there for changing the look of XP

    Ah yes forgot about that one Abby :) no wonder I can install themes without having StyleXP installed


    The file in question is available from StyleXPs website listed under Free Downloads ( file name I think is called "uxtheme.dll" or something similar )

    I tried that uxtheme patch and it said something like my version isn't supported????

    What version.. I hadn't installed anything else??

    belchfire.net wouldn't load for me.. I'll try again....

    exeter, chances are you have the pre sp1 patched uxtheme.dll, you need the one for SP1. It is unsigned, but it does work.


    I have it, send an email my way:


    silver256@gci-net.com

    This shouldnt be considered warez; the only thing the dll allows is unsigned themes to be used in XP.

    Actually I found another one that worked...thanks though..

    Yeah it wouldn't even creat ehe uxtheme.pat file....

    I still like StyleXP cuz I am lazy!!
