sudden powerloss/shutdown

my hp pavillion zv5000, at times just suddenly shutdowns..(no power) this happens with or without 110 power supply,when this happens the power icon on tray is showing 110power supply icon and it happens with just batt power supply too.my batt. is a li-ion series model: HSTNN-IB03

99% of the time when a computer shuts down, it is a heat problem. Something is overheating and to protect the CPU, the computer shuts off.
Laptops are hard to clean. Personally, I have been too scared to take mine apart to blow out the dust.

You might try setting the notebook on a cooler and see if that helps or if you are brave, disassemble it and use canned air to clean it out.

 

It could be a heat issue or a short in the laptop some ware. I would download some temp software to check the temps.

 

thx for the reply's..today i went to read the reply's and laptop shutoff 3 times before i could get to these reply's....i updated the bios and then took the plunge and took laptop apart...omg....one of the cooling fan fins was totally clogged and the second was partially clogged...should have been here i have taken desktop towers apart but not a laptop before.well no extra screws..thats a good thing...lol..keep u updated if this really helps..probably will!!!
