Currently my parents are using Netscape 9.2. I hate it! They all ways have problems, and for the past 3 weeks i cannot get netscapes email client to connect to there server.

Can anyone suggest a good browser that allows multiple profiles. I.E. My dad has his own mail, bookmarks, settings, and my mom has her own profile with her own, mail, bookmarks, and settings.

I am looking for a reliable browser that can do what i stated above. Also any mail client that will work well with the browser would be great!

Thanks so much. Im off to bed so ill read all your opinions tomorrow. :)

I use Opera and have done so with no probs for 12 months now. Not sure if it can be multiple profiled but it probably can be. You can download and install a trial version but to get rid of the ad nags you have to buy it. I bought and reckon it is worth the small amount I paid for it. Its pretty user friendly and very reliable. Hope this helps.

Yes, and Firefox does have the capability for multiple profiles. The big bug in your path is that you need to download Thunderbird, or some other e-mail client, because Firefox doesn't have an integrated e-mail client, as of the current release.

I'd suggest Opera, it does everything you want, plus has email support for you. I use multiple profiles on it just fine.

Failing that try firefox, although it doesnt have email support. As said before, anything is better than IE!

I recommend FireFox. Has better overal compat with websites compared to opera IMO..

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I am running firefox on my computer right now. I had no idea you could run multiple profiles! That would be great!

There computer already has outlook express on it. Will that be compatable with firefox?

If they use the Netscape email client then download the whole Mozilla package. It comes with a mail client identical to what they may be used to. Except this one works!

Mozilla has frequent updates too, Netscape does not.

Firefox is good if all you need is a browser. There is also a 2nd mail client called something else, Thunderbird I think. But again, if they are used to Netscape, download Mozilla 1.7.2 and they won't notice much of a change other than the icon on the desktop they used to double click.

i still think foxfire is the best choice(for me anyway)....
since i use earthlink, the email option is not an issue since earthlink has it's own e-mail client....as for outlook express, in a word...YUKKKK
