Suggestion 4 Antivirus & spyware

Sorry to post this again here but I was informed that I had posted this to the incorrect forum.

AntiVirus

I am currently using Norton Internet security. Never really had much of a problem. After all my reading I have been thinking of going with Kaspersky Internet Security 2009. Then I read some people have been disapponited with this new version. Also was thinking about BitDefender. I would like some opinions on these 2 please.

Also, I read a couple of people who were using Norton Internet security 2009 who said it was much improved and not a drain on their system like previous versions. Any opinions?

Spyware

Used spysweeper for a few years and it was good. Problem is recently on 2 different computers it starting freezing my computer either after booting up or after screen saver has been on for awhile. When I removed it everything was fine including my system running faster. So, I am looking for suggestions on a spyware program. I would like one that runs real time. Ones I have researched and are considering are:
Counter Spy
Super Antipyware
Malwarebytes

By the way, I don't mind buying the programs and paying for service. It does not have to be free.

What do you think of the new version of NIS 2009. I have been pretty happy with 2008 and 2009 is supposed to be much improved as I have read.

Also you opinions on the spyware I listed.
