Suggestion....

If what I am proposing already exists, please forgive my ignorance.

I read thread after thread, and alot of my own, and notice there is a recurring theme. Most of the people who ask for help do not put their specs or equipment into the post. Would it not be a good thing to have a sticky thread (like they send you to when you have spyware/virus issues) available that instructs as to what information is needed before posting a problem, to save the smart ones some time in having to ask us not so smart ones the same thing over and over again? Just a thought.

 

There is an Announcement: Before You Post Asking For Help, Please Read This thread at the top of all the tech forums that explains all the information that should be provided in addition to how to easily pull it all together if you don't know how.."before" starting a thread.

 

maybe it should be in big letters so it is not over looked as it does look like it is over looked a lot

I think the best way to get everyone to read it would be to label it DON'T READ THIS!

The readme.txt files normally included with most programs are almost universally ignored. I had one game whose readme.txt file started out with "If you're reading this, you must be having problems." Most people don't pay much attention to instructions.

 

The thread should be named "DAILY PRON HERE
