My wireless router is a 4 year old Linksys. Might consider a new one since I am having multiple problems. Is there a super easy, nearly fool proof, extremely user friendly router which would do a good job connecting multiple home computers, in a densely populated area where there are lots of other people whose networks show up every time I use wifi?

Thanks very much for your help.

Caliban I don't need no steenkin' title!

Pound-for-pound, I'm a Linksys man - never had a problem with them, both for personal use and for customers. TopTenREVIEWS rates the Linksys E1000 as the best entry-level wireless N router.

What kind of problems are you experiencing with your current machine?

Seems ok now. Not sure what happened. Only problem remaining is that I can't get back to my original "Whitebear" network. Only shows generic Linksys name.
