suggestions for CD/DVD-ROM drive

i'm looking for a black CD/DVD-ROM drive that can read DVD±R/RW discs.

my current system only has a DVD burner and i would like to be able to burn discs directly w/o copying to my hard drive.

i've looked on newegg and found some decent deals, but i'm not sure how to tell if the drive will read DVD±R/RW discs.

p.s. i'm kind of a newb but not really.

 

You will have to read the specifications for each drive to find out if it can do what you need. There are so many out there, it would be hard to tell you which one to buy. Plus not all come in black. If you find one you like, and you are not sure if it can do what you want, go directly to the manufacturers website before buying to get the most accurate specifications.
