Suggestions for Opera Browser

Is there any way to contact Opera, to be able to make suggestions to them for an oncoming version.

I have checked out the Opera website and tried various tabs, but they either crashed ( failed to proceed ) or were not what I was looking for.

and other links. :cry

Any help/links would be much appreciated. :cool

Don't bother - they won't listen to you anyway. I've been an Opera supporter for years mainly because it's so fast, but each new version lately has been buggier than the last. And there are many, many websites that simply don't work with Opera. The arrogant developers admit that, but it's always the site developers' fault, not Opera's. In fact, virtually any problem you may have with Opera is somehow your fault.

For general questions and problems, I found the forums to be a good source.
I've only used it a few times, but the response was quick and helpful.

For new feature suggestions:

My experience has been similar although most sites work OK.
I'm still using 10.54 because of a couple of minor bugs in 10.60

One feature that I really like is the 'Follower Tab'
Firefox does not have an extension to do that.

I am using 10.60.3445 with no problems. My favourite version is v9.25 because it saves download speeds for each download, and doesn't wipe the speeds as often as v10.... do.

I like the old layout better, too.

I remember when the download speed sort of disappeared.
I don't know if there is a way to reinstate that.
There are a couple of things that can be configured in the Downloads window.

If you open a new tab and enter opera:config in the address bar,
then scroll down the page to the item labeled 'TransferWindow'
you can adjust

• how long the download history is retained,
• whether or not the Details are displayed at the bottom of the window,
• if the Download page should open when a new download begins

I'm curious; what type of new features are you interested in?

I'd like to see some actions of the old v9.25 re-introduced.
1.Keep the download speed as for each retained download
2.I just like the appearance over later versions.

New stuff.

3.If the download works OK, there is no need to check it, as having succeeded
4.Add the URL for each particular download.
5.As well as the average speed of the download, add the actual time taken (for historical comparisons) against other sites. For example MG vs Author's site.
6.Always save the last # number of downloads (and data), user specified, or at least the last 20, or so.

That's all I can think of, at the moment.

Don't know how much or how often you download, but setting the
"Keep Entries Days" to 90 or greater should cover that for you.
