Suggestions on "Who" to Buy From (Retail?)?

Hope this is the best ("proper") sub-forum to ask this, but I need to buy some RAM, and a USB mouse.

Does anyone have any particularly G00D OR bad experiences with purchasing computer parts/items, please?

Am of course hoping for:

1. The VERY BEST Price (on the very best Quality~!~hah)

2. Fairly quick shipping - pretty much in that order.

First, it depends on where you live. If you're near a Fry's or MicroCenter, they are usually competitive with Internet prices (in fact, Fry's will now match most Internet prices).

The upside of buying locally is that - if the memory doesn't mesh with your system or the mouse is DOA - you don't have to pay return shipping and wait days (or weeks) for a refund or replacement.

For online, my choices are:

www.directron.com (I own a repair shop in Houston where Directron is located and use them as my main supplier - great service)

www.newegg.com

www.amazon.com (For best results, stick with items that are sold and shipped directly by Amazon; not by "affiliates" or other stores).

And yes, I should have specified, that I am VERY rural, in the mountains, and not less than an HOUR from ANY type of store that would sell these products.

I am definitely looking for an online store/supplier.

What do you think of ebay with something like this (though I RARELY "bid" in the auctions...too impatient I reckon! ha. I like that "BUY IT NOW" button! haha
