Suggestions re new monitor.

I have a 3 year old 19 inch Dell monitor. The HD died and I just replaced it.
Funds are limited! I do not have a TV. I watch everything on my 19 inch monitor which is making my vision worse.

1. Do I get a new monitor- say 24 inch
2. I found for 280$ at Walmart a Vizo TV that has 2 HDMI ports
I was thinking I could use the monitor for computer work and then switch to the TV for watching shows.
Am I better off buying a monitor or a TV. I cannot go over 300 dollars.

I am disabled and use my computer for many functions...TV , social networking, email, etc.

 

You should be able to find a decent combo TV/monitor for at or under $300.

Suggestions re a new router. My router died, I would like a good inexpensive router does that exist?

I need it for my phone , so, I need one that works with my ATT Microcell, ( I have no ATT reception in my apt) However, a friend lent me an old one of her's and it totally degraded my Internet. I was not able to get online.

I would like to spend under 50 dollars is that possible.
I heard stay away from Belkin.... :confused

I did not want to start a new thread being I am still looking for either a monitor or a 27 inch TV, cannot decide which way to go. Thanks
