    Hi

Yes JavaRa will remove all old versions of Java JRE it finds by default, as you really only should have the latest version for your Windows or OS version.

What Windows version you using? as if older Windows than XP then you'll need last know one from the archives here

Could you list the exact file versions of JRE you have , should be able to get this from the folder names in the JAVA folder in Program Files, like mine below

But what you can do if your PC runs fine with JRE 1.4.2 is to goto Add/Remove in Control Panel and uninstall the other versions as in 1.5.2.

    Hi Blades

Will have to let me know what NS7.2 is, know alot of acronyms but not working that one out today sadly.

What would the full issue be, is it not fully uninstalling NS7.2 or the multiple versions of Java, or are their other applications affected as in maybe surfing with a browser specific pages etc?

If you have crashes then what are the error messages etc

Personally, if your Windows XP is upto dates as it is with SP3 then I see no major reason not to use JavaRa to remove all older Java versions as they could cause you issues with webpages etc, also run a bit of a cleanup routine on your PC too as this can help remove all old junk files http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=106650

Before cleaning out JAVA with JavaRa you could set a System Restore point as a backup.

NS7.2 is Netscape browser.( mozilla family) Had firefox earlier. tried to upgrade to the new firefox and these probs appeared..NS nor firefox unistalled as advertised... When the browser crashes I get an old style error box : theres no disk in A:\ retry..abort...cancel.. along with others ( shades of DOS 3.0 )... So short from doing a FDISK I should be able to correct this thru the registry, but hence "If you dont know what it does.......dont mess with it" suggestions any one? Yes it is close to being FUBAR.

    Hi

Could try Revo uninstaller to remove your Netscape browser as it tends to work with stubborn applications that dont wish to uninstall.

    Hi Blades

Ok maybe to add some more backup and this is what I employ always, I do use Acronis True Image ( my one crucial "must have" install of any app ) which is retail software but this is a free one thats similar in DriveImage XML in that its clones/images the whole hard drive, so in the slim likelyhood of something going wrong you have System Restore and a Image clone of your Hard drive to recover too.

Do read its instructions and FAQs too here under Drive Image XML section, which I know you will as a procrastinator

I have finally fixed my JAVA problem...JavaRa di not work, Revo did not work....WHAT did I do ? I unistalled ALL JAVA versions...then cleaned the registry..then Installed a new Version of SUN JAVA....and my system is now working fine...all browsers including Fire Fox 3, IExx and NS. My advice dont mess with JAVA unless you drink it ;)......Now I have to bend this pin just right so this grenade will be safe.. Thanks for all the help suggestions.
