    this one--> " Solaris AMD64 self-extracting file (jdk-1_5_0_02-solaris-amd64.sh, 5.79 MB)" is the smallest file size, will it work the same to show java on firefox browser?
    im only on dial up and some of those are almost impossible for me to download

    Download the version that is compatible with your OS.


    eg. If you are using WindowsXP then the Solaris AMD64 is going to be of no use unless you are using Solaris as your OS with an AMD64 bit cpu.

    if your net connection is slow then if a friend has broadband then ask them if they could download it and burn to cd for you... of just bite the bullet and let it download overnight while your asleep ;)
