Super Noob T1 Question

I was just put in charge of setting up internet in my office. However, I don't know the first thing about T1. The reason I mention this is because I have a DSL connection to work with. However, I am aware that out POS system runs on T1. Now I'd like to use that line for our internet connection as well. To reiterate, I haven't the slightest clue how. I know about netowrking using cable/DSL. So if you can help, you can keep that in mind.
