I have an AMD Athlon XP processor that should be running at at LEAST 2.2 Ghz however Windows says it's only running at 1.24Ghz, and playing Half Life 2 it certainly feels like it. Any suggestions as to how this could have happened and how I may fix it up?

Get into your bios and change the FSB frequency to 200mhz or if you can just change the FSB set it to 400mhz. Which ever the bios lets you change. That will bring it up to speed. You have a XP 3200+ right?

In that case your cpu will run at 1.9ghz. Amd rates there cpus not by clock speed, but rather by raw performance. A 2600+ AMD runs just the same a pentium 2.6Ghz. :)

Go into your bios and set your FSB to 333mhz. That is where that chip should be at. :)
