when i run folding@home, i can hear a faint buzzing in my speakers/headphones.

it's moar noticealbe when im wearing my headphones, but i can hear it when i turn my speakers up really loud.

i can also hear the same faint buzzing when my hard drive is being accessed.

If it were only the external speakers I would think it's a shielding issue. But since it is in your headphones also, do you think it's your sound card going south, or some kind of voltage issue with your mobo...
    Just a thought

hehe...i run my 8" subwoofer and two large speakers on a car amp (ghetto hacked to a computer psu)...so i wouldnt be suprised if it was a sheilding issue...but it's not.

my sound is onboard mobo sound, i dont have a sound card. i have a spare sound card i can connect and test out, tho. ill report later with the results
