    ive got LIMITED SPACE on the laptop so I DL what I need for sure

    any idea what WebDP 2.07 is?

    You need:
    1) windows updates
    2) an antivirus
    3) a firewall

    Without them, you will constantly be here looking for help.

    WebDP could be some kind of Messenger Service. I'm not really sure.

    listen last time i had windows updates my whole comp shut down and i received a trojan...
    i cant afford to pay $60 to get my comp fixed everytime I DL it

    for some reason my DELL laptop will no longer validate my Windows
    i cannot DL Microsoft anything because its not seen as valid
    my windows installer 3.1 no longer works either

    i will get the firewall

    im in the process of getting this stuff together
    i appreciate your help and im trying to do what i can
    im only 19, im doing what i can with school

    im just trying to use this DELL thru college but stuff keeps getting messed up and i have LITTLE TIME and LITTLE MONEY to concentrate on it

    You must get an antivirus installed too. You Norton does not seem to be running properly and is either broken or is out of date. You may want to try one of the free ones in the link I gave you.

    Doing windows updates will not give you a trojan. Having malware on your system when you do the updates can cause problems. Doing the updates without an antivirus application and without a firewall can also be a problem. At anyrate, just installing a function AV and a firewall will help alot. Installing some of the spyware blocking tools that are recommended will help too.
