    Hello all,
I have recently been chatting with my other thread on Audio for my Radion Sapphire HD 4670. Anyways I have given up on it and can't get sound out of my TV with this card. So anyways I now want to blow more money because you can't give up on a project because of a few extra bucks. So does anyone know of a good surround sound that I can hook up to the PC so when I watch movies on the big screen I can have some great sound from the PC and also something with a remote so I turn down the big action shows when the guns are blasting. Something under $200 would be nice too. Any recommendations??
    Cheers

Also forgot to add I am looking at Logitech Z506 Surround Sound Speakers - 75 Watts RMS, 27 Watts Subwoofer. If I get something like this can I just plug in and listen or do I need to get some kind of Audio card too?

If your motherboard has built-in audio (you'll see either 3 or 6 jacks on the back panel) you can just plug the Z506's in and configure the sound in the audio manager for whichever sound chip your board has. For example my board has a RealTek audio chip and there is an icon in the taskbar which opens the Audio manager panel and I can configure the sound options.

The Z506 doesn't have a remote. I take it you will feed the TV's audio out into the line-in input on the computer if you want cable/OTA TV sound thru the computer. You can just use the volume control in Windows (via keyboard, mouse or if you have a case with a Windows media remote sensor, the Windows Media Remote). My HTPC case (Antec Fusion Remote) has the sensor and came with a remote but I just use my wireless keyboard to control it.

The surround sound for the PC is it exactly the same quality of sound as if I hooked surround sound to my TV? If the TV is better then maybe I will still plug away at figuring out my Video card that I have. What system of sound do you have and how is it?
    Thanks
