Sus SiS USB !

    My Sis USB controller does not recognise the presence of any USB items unless they're there at startup. If they're pulled out, it forgets and cannot find them again. Memory stick or camera...

    I've tried making the controller a standard openHCD USB host controller but that doesn't help.

    Any ideas? XPpro

    Hi

    Is your XP version fully upto date with all OS updates and service packs?

    What is your Motherboard make and version or PC make and version if an OEM build?

    In device Manager are there any yellow ! marks, if so what are they by?

    Hi Halo,

    Well it's interesting. The front USB does this behaviour I described, but the rear one is faultless. So I hooked up a 4way USB dock to the rear one and taped it to the side front. Now I have plenty of access. Both Mem stick and camera work.

    The computer was $10 at a garage sale last Sat'day. 2GHz, 512RAM, Asus MB, 60Gb HD and XPpro SP2.:D

    Only yellow mark is against the multimedia controller.
