suse videocard options

hi, i am having some trouble with videocard being at low 16 bit colors. options/values after i go through sax 2 give me more after install but i don't know what to set them at. origanally it had 3 options/values...fbdev , rotate , shadowfb . after konsole install it has dozens of options/values to tweak. and i don't know what to do in the value setup. after nvidia install it won't let me set card to higher level. the videocard is a good card and should be at optimal performance, more than i think this os system needs. linux newbie in need of help.
