I started getting this error a few days ago when I start my computer. Running XP SP3. From SvcHost.exe saying memory could not be written. I have deleted all kinds of old programs, taken every device off the machine (except for the wireless access to the router so I could message here, deleted and reloaded the wireless access, run all kinds of malware and virus checkers, run all kinds of registry error detections, etc., etc., etc.

    And I still get it.

After I respond to continue everything seems to be running okay except CvsHost is chewing up some time.

Is there anyway to tell from the message or the associated logs which program has caused the error?

Thank you for your time and attention to this.
    Mike

svchost.exe is a generic host process of microsoft which is linked with the dynamic libraries. Maybe svchost just crash because your computer comsumed a lot of processes and/or memory. It is an important process that Windows uses. But there is a case that there are instances that a virus, Trojan, Malware or worm disguises itself as svchost.exe and causes you to use up a lot of RAM (Random Access Memory) and CPU usage. You can check a step-by-step guide at http://www.techyv.com/questions/svchostexe-harmful-virus that will help you to know what caused the error.

I hope it will help you.
