svchost.exe

    svchost.exe seems to be taking up a ton of memory and i dont get why its hiting about 90mb of memory usage on windows 7 im wodering if theres a way to fix this

    You can download a program called Process Explorer by Sysinternals, which gives you the capabilities of viewing all processes running !

    Hi wolfx28,

    Windows Defender may be the culpirt because it will periodically update itself.

    To determine which service or program is using svchost.exe, open task manager, click the processes tab, right click on the 90mb svchost.exe entry and select go to service from the menu that appears.

    my main problem is my internet is running really slow and im getting serious lag in games, this is a brand new pc and was running fine, the internet is a good connection and i have the specs for these games i dont understand why i get the serious lag
