svchost

Hi all,

I recently did a restore point on my system from a program called advanced system optimizer. Now my computer is running at 100 percent. In the processes it shows that SVCHOST is running at 97-100 percent and my computer display is on windows 98. I am running windows xp,but for some reason it looks like the first computer I ever owned. I had to get into the task manager and end the process of svchost just to go online and type this.confused Any ideas on how to fix this? any help or ideas are appreciated. (btw, I dont have the windows xp cd to do a repair

 

find the app called process explorer by googling it. use that to see what service is running in service host.
