I have 2 200GB HDD set up as IDE Raid 0, my drives are starting too make more noise, so I would like to install 1 or 2 new HDD but this time I will set them up as IDE drives.
Has anyone on here went thru this process and can tell me what or not to do? Guides, instructions, websites, etc. I have Acronis (but it won't recognize IDE Raid 0 HDD) Anyway I don't think I'll have much problem coping (imaging) my C: drive
I think most of my problems will be changing the MB and BIOS, etc. or whatever else I need to change.

I don't know for sure but it seems to me you would just install your new drives after uninstalling the raid utility. I have motherboards that will do raid but the instructions say to load the sata/raid drivers but not the Raid utility, if your going to use the drives in a non-raid fashion. Thats so it will recognice sata drives but not try and force you to use a raid configuration. Once you install the raid utilities it wants to raid something no matter what. I could be wrong, I don't play with raid at all, even though I have installed drivers I've never installed a raid utility.

Go to your manufacturer site of the new drive for a migration tool. It's free from most of them. Write it to a disk & boot it up. Just follow the onscreen instruction.
