is there eneyway to switch of my second harddrive?

i only use the data and programs on this drive around 1 or 2 times a week so instead of haveing a fan on to keep it cool was wondering it it could be turned of while not in use otherthan opening the case and disconecting it

Or maybe buy a (5.25") removable hard drive bay. Then you can pull your second hard drive anytime, or install it at anytime. Much better than installing switches, cutting wires, etc.
Neater than a external HDD enclosure, as well.

It's probably the Yellow (12v) that you'd want to cut on 3.5" drives.

Also only EVER flick the switch when the PC is turned off otherwise you WILL corrupt the drive eventually.
