    Hi

I'm considering a switch from Avast free ed to Avira premium. I'm currently using zonealarm free as well.

    Is Avira worth the switch?

Once I uninstall avast will all the stuff in the virus chest reactivate?

    Suggestions
    Thanks in advance

IMHO, pay for AV are a waste of money, there are plenty of free alternatives that are just as good, if not better! Avira is a great free AV, i use it.

It is real easy to use and catches everything, (that you want it to, not any false detections!)

I suggest you delete all items in the "Virus Chest"

And why would you want to switch anyway? I use both, free editions, on different computers and they both seem to do a good job.

Just be sure you keep your updates updated, don't download anything you are not 100% certain of, and if you suddenly get a pop up security warning, disconnect from the internet IMMEDIATELY! Don't try to close that security warning box, the entire box is an OK button!! (Been there, done that).:wave:wave:wave
