SX600fw

I have a problem with my new all singing all dancing all in one printer scanner etc.Epson SX600fw
I installed it from new and with some help from thier helpline it worked well but suddenly it has started misbehaving all works, untill you try and send something to the printer to print it prints first half inch then error icon appears and several sheets of plain paper go through the help line says it is a computer problem which they cannot help me with GREAT... I am using XP any help welcome!!!tried reinstalling etc even avoiding Wi Fi and just connecting with USB.....still no joy :zzzrolleyes

 

I usually find thwt windows plays up if you have the printer connected when first installing the drivers.
Have you tried uninstalling/deleting the printer in the printer folder, then leave printer connected, ON USB FIRST, BUT SWITCHED OFF,- Then instal drivers, and let Windows search for the printer - then switch printer on - and the drivers often install better --when it finds it and installs it, then look at wireless connection.

Mind you, it is not always clear in the instructions on many home products

 

I spoke too soon,its slipped back to showing error..... I can access my printer from my computer ie for scanning etc its just when I get to send something to print I have been on Epsons website and done a diagnosis check which comes up all working fine when I try and go to the troubleshooter its comes up with an error saying Ativex is not allowing access whether this is connected with the problem. Someone suggest it might be a lack of printer memory not sure how i check that......
When i send something to my printer it recognizes it prints the first inch of print then the error pops up and it freezes and the sends several sheets of blank paper through.................... any help would be gratefully received:confused

 

I am not much help on active X, perhaps someone else might come in and help.
But, have you the latest updates , or, at least 9 (c) on your pc- Or, the .net updates

Thanks for your suggestions I am at a total loss now I tried again to reinstall every thing works fine EXCEPT for sending things from comp to printer shows error and then prints pages and pages og goblly gook script on top of paper,,,..... sigh!!!!

 

Try the latest driver, in case its the driver that is the problem

Sorry been there done that i'm all for throwing it out of the window now
