Sygate blocking modem

I don't know if this or Malware is the correct forum.

Sygate is sometimes blocking the Bellsouth DSL modem IP any thoughts on how to prevent this?

 

Yeah, I have a good solution. Get yourself a Cable/DSL Router.

Sorry it is BellSouth DSL the IP is showing as modem on the Sygate sys log.

 

Ok, sorry its not my computer and I'm used to my broadband connection with my wireless router. It does appear that the only connector is a DSL modem so you are recommending that a router needs to be in place between the modem and the computer?

 

Also the block seems to only happen on Excite in IE though excite lite in Mozilla loads quickly and correctly. MSN also loads but won't load to the email page. Other pages load without effect.
