Hey guys i have a question:

I have Sygate Personal Firewall Pro installed and recently i've been getting an alert message that says: "Windows explorer (explorer.exe) is trying to send a packet, this action was triggered by userinit.exe......"

Is this safe to allow??...i've been clicking no, cause i really don't know what's that all about. Usually i get this message when i start the computer.

    Any help?

    Thank you very much.

Userinit.exe is a key process in the Windows operating system. On boot-up it manages the different start up sequences needed, such as establishing network connection and starting up the Windows shell.

Ok thanks!.....but then is it safe to allow windows explorer (explorer.exe) to access the internet and send this "packet"??

Typically yes. If the userinit.exe file resides within c:\windows\system32

If this file resides within c:\windows it may be a piece of malware.
