Uninstalled Sygate 5.5 and downloaded from MG's, Sygate Ver.5.6.2808, cleaned up C:\ with Reg. Cleaner and used "Find files" from Start menu to remove any left over files from uninstall - installed new ver. and registered it with Sygate, went to GRC and ran Shields up, all ports were 100% Stealthed, so far so good, rebooted and noticed that when I did a CTRL / ALT / DEL I had "Smc[not responding], checked with "Answers that work, Task List", Smc is related to Sygate and must be kept running, everything seems to be OK just never had this message before, any ideas ?????? System is Win. 98SE

THANKS Halo for the Quick response, I knew I could count on this Fourm for help - I used the "link" you mentioned and found I'm NOT the only one with problems, found a "link" there to a newer ver. than I was running and just finished downloading it, dial-up takes time, anyways THANKS again, I'll keep an eye out for a patch or updated ver. of Sygate 5.6.2808 - hope this helps other 9x'ers
