I have a set of floppy disks that allowed me to boot off of them and copy the entire hard drive onto a new hard drive. For some reason, my floppy's do not work anymore. Of course, I cant find my original CD of ghost, so I am stuck. I went out and purchased Ghost 9.0 thinking I would just create a new set of floppy's. Unfortunatly I can not find that boot disk wizard or any information anywhere in the software. Do I have the wrong version of ghost? Where can I find more information? (I tried Symantec themselves...they dont even seem to know what I am talking about)

    Thanks!

Do you run Norton Sysem Works? Ghost integrates itself in there.
On mine I go to Start>Programs>Norton Sys..>Norton Ghost> Norton Ghost
Once that comes up, under Ghost Utilities select Ghost Boot Wizard...

After doing a lot of research, it appears that boot disk option is not available on version 9.0. It appears 9 is more of a home user version. So, I canned the Symantec software and went to Acronis True Image software. WOW...much faster and easier!

    Wizry11,
If you have a lot of personal documents, hard to replace applications, etc. that you care about, then Ghost or Acronis is worth the money. Both make images of your hard drive, with all installed applications. With one of their backups/images, it isn't that hard to restore a hard drive with everything that was on it at the time that the image was made. System Restore isn't quite the "magic bullet" that the other two apps are. While it is good in the event of a failed install of a program or a bad driver download, it can't help you if the hard drive fails and needs replacement. :)
