Symantec One Button Touch Up Error

    I just went through the Read and Run Me First Process to get rid of some Malware. Now I'm turning my regular running programs back on and ran into an error while attempting to run the One Button Touch Up by Symantec.

    The scan found (32) errors in the Windows Registry, (2) errors in the Program Integrity, and (124) in the Shortcut Scan. When it gets to the last step which is the Norton Cleanup Scan an error box pops up saying the following:

    ========================================================
    OBC.exe
    The exception unknown software exception (0xc000000d) occured in the application at location 0x78144c23.
    Click ok to terminate.
    Click cancel to debug.
    ========================================================

    Because of this error, it won't finish the process of fixing the errors it found. Any idea on how to fix this?

    If you run XP or newer, you could remove Norton System Works and then install and run CCleaner to fix the registry, and shortcut errors. Looks like it was discontinued in 2009 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norton_SystemWorks
    I'm trying to find help from the Symantec/Norton site but hard to do for a discontinued program.

    Norton Removal Tool

    The Norton Removal Tool uninstalls all Norton 2010/2009/2008/2007/2006/2005/2004/2003 products, Norton 360 and Norton SystemWorks 12.0 from your computer. If you use ACT! or WinFAX, back up those databases before you proceed.

    All I'm finding for "OBC.exe error" are 3rd party sites wanting you to download something to fix this. Do not do this. There are too many bogus sites installing malware and virii on computers.

    If I manage to find a fix at Norton/Symantec, I will post a link.
