Sympatico High Speed vs. Cable

Hi!

What are the pros and cons between Sympatico High Speed and Cable? I'm asking for someone else who is currently with Sympatico and curious about Cable. Both of us have always used Sympatico, and both limited on computer knowledge.
Any advice or comments appreciated.

Well, I can tell you that my Dad used to have Sympatico light or whatever it's called and I have cable and my connection was better than his and it seemed like he was on the phone with tech support a lot more than I ever am. In my area, cable is cheaper than sympatico if you already have cable television. The only thing I don't like is I have to pay an extra five bucks a month so the downloads aren't capped at 2 GB/month. All in all, I much prefer cable.

 

Wow, that's pretty much the same situation with my Dad too. That's who I'm asking for. He's currently got the Light HighSpeed (not too happy with it), and he does have cable TV. He's wondering if the cable goes out (on the TV) does it also go out on the computer?

I'm not really sure, I've had cable internet for I guess almost a year, my cable television has never gone out and I can think of two occasions that the cable internet has gone down, each time was for about an hour and was when there was a pretty good thunderstorm going on.
