    I have tried all the trouble shooters but it seems if I make a change in one it does not make the same change in the other.
    Any ideas so I can work in the file explorer(onedrive) and affect the same change in the onedrive cloud?

    I gave up on OneDrive as I could never be sure without checking whether it had sync'd or not. The only time I was sure it had sync'd was at next shutdown/reboot when the tray icon went blue while it sync'd.

    It's too bad because it could be a useful tool anyway thank you for relieving me of that distress. I use the cloud for some notes then download the main folder to a flash drive or two for safekeeping.
    It seems that it will synchronize when it feels like it. On the other hand my Google Drive works quite well..
    With both a computer and a Chromebook I need Cloud visibility to access files so I look for an improvement in OneDrive, someday.

    Bernie, how have you resolved your cloud issue;I ask as the answer may help me.

    Bernie
    I have Onedrive running perfectly;
    run the following, top one first then the second afterwards.
    It will reinstall and ask you some questions. When done, file explorer and the cloud are synced.

    Please let me know how it goes for you.

    %Systemroot%\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall

    %Systemroot%\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe

    Peter I have no need or desire to make all my files available to every device I use and have found that backing up and sharing my files on my home network via a NAS drive is the best solution for me. OneDrive is currently disabled on all the computers here but that could change in future if my needs change. Right now I don't want to make any changes to a working routine.

    I think your system is much better but thought you would like the information anyway.
    Enjoy your weekend.

    Bernie, at the risk of beating a dead horse, and for the sake of problem solving, I checked onedrive in the windows 10 firewall. When I unchecked and rechecked it, the cloud appeared and all worked. When I disconnected it, it then stooped. It was fickle and I was wondering if the firewall could be the culprit. for the 'on and of' nature of the cloud.
    I too use a NAS drive but at times need to access material in the cloud, hence Onedrive. With a little nudging it is quite a feature- just needs some tweaking. Have a blessed Sunday.
